Crime Analysis Unit
The Crime Analysis Unit (CAU) is staffed by a civilian supervisor, five crime analysts, and one volunteer.
Our MISSION is to provide timely and accurate analysis of police data in support of the agency’s goals.
This includes:
• Identifyingcrimetrends,patternsandseries,
• Preparingcrimeandcallsforservicestatistics,
• Measuringpoliceeffectivenessandefficiencyand
• Disseminatingusefulinformationtoindividualsinlawenforcement,governmentandthe
community.
Our PURPOSE is to assist police personnel:
1) in planning the deployment of resources for the prevention and suppression of criminal activities, 2) by aiding the investigative process, and
3) in the apprehension of offenders.
