In the first half of 2018, preparations began for OPPD's initial accreditation assessment. This included planning and participating in a three day "mock assessment" in January. Our files were opened to the actual assessors in March and their subsequent three day on site inspection took place in April. The three year project resulted in OPPD being awarded initial CALEA accreditation in July 2018 in Grand Rapids, MI. In August 2018 work began on the four year reaccreditation.
