Performs a wide variety of semi-skilled tasks related to the repair, upkeep, maintenance and renovation of city facilities and grounds. Assists in emergency operations, including snow removal, as required.

The Facilities Attendant will be responsible for the daily upkeep and maintenance of City facilities including entries, grounds, and building spaces. Work to include light janitorial, window cleaning, power washing, painting, light carpentry, plumbing.

This position would have multiple responsibilities including maintaining entries and grounds at facilities.

Cleaning glass in entries and vestibules, including interior glass and plexiglass as needed.

Maintenance and care of hard floor surfaces including ceramic tile, epoxy coatings, polished concrete, vinyl tile, etc.

Vacuuming and detail cleaning

Daytime janitorial services and product replacement. Touch up and sanitize restrooms ahead of scheduled nightly meetings. Notify Supervisor of janitorial contractors discrepancies of service.

Setup, organize, clean, and sanitize multi-use council, conference, and training rooms as needed.

Painting, assisting with painting projects including hallways, corridors, offices, doors, handrails, etc.

Watering and care of interior plants.

Mount, hang, install small shelves, picture, signage etc.

Detailed office cleaning and maintenance on move outs.

Move file cabinets, chairs, office furniture and deliver paper goods as needed.

Assist with material pickup, delivery, loading and unloading.

Assist with monthly inspections.

Spraying sanitizer and disinfectant as needed.

Snow removal as needed.

The employee must work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks.

Must be available (especially during regular business hours or shifts) to communicate with subordinates, supervisors, customers, vendors and any other persons or organization with whom interaction is required to accomplish work and employer goals.

There may be other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

The employee must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but

not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time;

and scheduled work breaks, where applicable.
