Recruits volunteers for the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead (DRCF) daily operations and Friends of the Farmstead (FOF) events. Supervises initial volunteer training and orientation. Maintains volunteer records and schedules for volunteers. Provides reports to the DRCF Leadership team. Maintains Volunteer Handbook and Standard Operation Manual. Manages daily communications pertaining to volunteer related inquiries. Within committees, participates in fundraising and support for the Friends of the Farmstead. Develops and plans recognition and retention activities and programs.

Develops and implements volunteer programs and recognition opportunities.

Recruits volunteers for the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead Volunteer Program. Advertises through ranks of existing volunteers, local media, local groups and corporations. Makes community presentations to increase the awareness of the volunteer program.

Supervises the initial training and orientation for new volunteers.

Provides ongoing support and training to volunteers through communication with DRCF leadership.

Assigns volunteer assignments and schedules based on coverage needs through communication with DRCF leadership.

Ensures punctuality and adherence to attendance and performance standards.

Maintains volunteer records and provides reports to management.

Maintains the Volunteer Handbook. Reviews existing procedures, examines new rules and regulations, makes and implements necessary changes.

Assists DRCF in creating and maintaining sponsored events and relationships with sponsors by scheduling volunteers.

Performs general office duties and maintains the volunteer page of the DRCF website, volunteer newsletter and social media.

Develops grants to Friends of the Farmstead to provide support for the needs of the Volunteer Program.

The employee must work the days and hours necessary to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks. Must be available (especially during regular business hours or shifts) to communicate with subordinates, supervisors, customers, vendors and any other persons or organizations with whom interaction is required to accomplish work and employer goals.

The employee must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks, where applicable.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & SPECIAL LICENSE(S)/CERTIFICATIONS:

Basic education (high school) required. Additional business or college level courses equivalent to 1 - 2 years preferred.

Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license.

Must maintain an insurable driving record.

EXPERIENCE:

Two years' experience in managing a high volume of volunteers on an ongoing basis.

Ability to lift 20 lbs. and transport 50 feet.
