Patrol Support Division –
The Traffic Safety Unit responds to all fatality accidents, at least 50% of all roadway accidents, the majority of all serious injury accidents, and the majority of the hit-and-run accidents. The TSU also conducts enforcement in high accidents locations and traffic complaint areas. TSU supports the Patrol Division by responding to Priority 1 and Priority 2 type calls for service. TSU also works special events such as graduations, parades, runs and dignitary visits.
The Traffic Safety Unit is comprised of the follow:

 School Crossing Guard Coordinator (1)
 School Crossing Guards (44)
 Motorist Assist Officer (4), Volunteer (1)
 

The Animal Control Unit handled 3794 calls for service and issued 641 animal related citations. School Crossing Guards oversee coverage of 52 school zone crossings each day. School Crossing
Guards also assisted on 1 Special Event in 2016.
The Motorist Assist Unit answered 1821 calls for service in 2016. The Motorist Assist Unit also conducted 12 Child Car Seat Installation events.
