Patrol Support Division –
The COPPS/SRO Section is comprised of the following personnel:  Captain
 Sergeant (1 COPPS, 2 SRO)
 Officers (24)
 Civilian Co-Responder (1)
The COPPS Officers continues to partner with neighborhoods governed by homeowners associations, apartment communities, businesses and other city departments to problem solve issues as well as de- velop and improve relationships. The COPPS Unit also provides crime prevention services regarding workplace violence, personal safety, internet safety, and neighborhood watch.
For over twenty years, School Resource Officers (SRO’s) have been providing a positive police presence within their respective schools. Our School Resource Officers partner with local entities such as the Johnson County STOP Coalition to combat underage drinking and to educate kids on the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse.
