Grand opening of the Public Safety Facility located at 16279 Antioch Road

Construction of a 23,500 square foot combined fire and police station located on a 5-acre site adjacent to the BluHawk development.
The new fire station includes four double-deep drive-through apparatus bays. It allows for twelve staff with living quarters, kitchen, offices and related support spaces.
The police department’s operation includes three double-deep apparatus bays with office and functional capacity for up to thirty staff members. The police area has space for briefings, small armory, adminis- trative offices, special apparatus and related functions.
Both departments will utilize a shared front entry and fitness facility. This project included the con- struction of nearly 500’ of 163rd street east of Antioch Road; a traffic signal at Antioch; and median modifications to facilitate emergency vehicle access to and from the new facility.
