Community Policing Unit:
3-0n-3 Basketball Tournament– In May of 2017, Overland Park hosted the first “All Nets No Drugs” event. The tournament brought officers and students together to build trust and education regarding the abuse of drugs and alcohol.
Crime Free Multi-Housing Program—Overland Park Continues a strong relationship with the multi-housing community and apartment complexes. In April and in October of 2017, COPPS officers provided CFMH training to a variety of apartment communities throughout the City. By certifying as many properties as possible, we can enhance partnerships and provide tools to apartment communities to best reduce crime and manage risk on their properties.
