Emergency Services Section:
•The Emergency Services Section (ESS) purpose is threefold.
•Maintains readiness through training and maintenance of the section’s special teams functions and equipment for: Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD/Bomb Squad), Underwater Rescue & Recovery (Dive), Precision Rifle Operators, and the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT). •Strategically direct resources to address the following:
●responding to calls for service and Patrol staffing relief ●fugitive and warrant apprehensions
●US Marshals Fugitive Apprehension Task Force participation (2 positions)
●chronic crime and problem locations
●retail crimes
●Dignitary protection & security
