Resource Allocation
To ensure complete and organized police coverage, the City is divided into four quadrants, which are divided into districts. The districts are determined by the demand of police services and are reviewed bi-annually. The higher the demand of services, the smaller the district. Patrol personnel operates of out the Scafe station (8500 Antioch) and the Sanders Justice Building (12400 Foster). Both have station offices for walk-in reports.
Priorities
As a division, our priority is to maximize the Patrol Division resources, through district policing methods and Data Driven approaches to Crime and Traffic Safety (DDACTS), in order to address crime trends and traffic issues. District policing methods emphasize ownership of assigned area and responsiveness to the community’s concerns through the use of partnerships within the community. The DDACTS method emphasizes efforts to maximize visibility and contacts within identified locations supported by data. Both methods focus on information gathered from multiple sources. These sources include crime analysis, other law enforcement agencies and physical observations, to address the problems and trends in our community, with a focus of prevention and reduction of crime along with enforcement of traffic laws.
