Investigations personnel provide leadership, expertise and resources to support the Police Department's line operations by conducting criminal investigations and
providing crime analysis. Detectives also investigate many non-criminal activities such as, deaths unattended by a physician, fire investigations and missing persons.
The Crime Analysis Unit is staffed by a Civilian Supervisor, five Civilian Crime Analysts, and two Citizen Volunteers. In addition to providing analytical products and investigative support to members of the department. The Crime Analysis Unit makes relevant crime information available to our citizens on the City’s website. (www.opkansas.org)
