An estimated 40 million tons of plastic waste is expected to be generated in this country in 2019. More than 83 percent of that total is expected to end up in a landfill.
A hot water faucet dripping one drop per second wastes 165 gallons a month. That’s more than one person typically uses in two weeks. Faucet leaks are an inexpensive and easy fix.
Refill a bottle and save a lot. Commercially bottled water costs thousands of times more than tap water with no demonstrated benefits.
Change your outside lights to LED bulbs.You may never change the bulb again and the savings can be significant.
