The Recycling Extravaganza held April 21 on the campus of Johnson County Community College shredded more than 70,500 pounds of paper, recycled 86,737 pounds
of electronics, collected for reuse 250 bicycles, 923 pairs of glasses and 740 pairs of shoes.
A hot water faucet dripping one drop per second wastes 165 gallons a month. That’s more than one person typically uses in two weeks. Faucet leaks are easy an fix.
